Fifth book ”Eesti aialinnud. Teejuht aialindude maailma”
Although flocks of fieldfares might sometimes worry a gardener by stripping currant bushes bare within hours, drilling holes in garden strawberries or scattering mulch across the beds, this book is not about scaring birds away, but quite the opposite: attracting birds to the garden. What is described in the book could help turn a garden into a truly bird-rich place where everyone has a good time. Even the neighbour will have reason to be envious.
In the fifth book in the series, I have chosen to describe forty species of bird that nest in the garden during the summer, and seventeen winged visitors who do not mostly nest in gardens, but may come to enjoy the garden's charms from the autumn onwards. Between these covers, you will find descriptions of the birds, their habitat preferences, and observations gathered over the years regarding the feathered creatures' relationships with one another and their family lives. The texts are illustrated by a large number of captured photographic moments, the majority of which originate from my home garden.
