White elves were recognised at the GDT photo contest

For the past 14 years, at the end of October, I've grabbed my laptop and a warm cup of tea to open the GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition gallery with the latest winning entries. Thousands of wonderful moments from around the world are submitted to the competition each year.

A photograph entitled ”White Fairies”, captured in a forest in the homeland, received recognition this year in the ”Plants and Fungi” category.

This is my first international award. One reason for this is perhaps that I haven't looked much beyond our borders until now. Now that has also been tried.
